Movement Cards: 40 Playful Activities for Ages 2–5 (Printable)

$24.00

Ten spare minutes, turned into play that builds balance, coordination and body awareness. These are the kinds of activities Polley shares in her workshops and 1:1 sessions, now on cards you can keep by the door. Every card shows the movement, the steps, what you need, and an easier and a harder version, so the same card grows with your child from 2 to 5. Four colours, four ways to move

  • Balance: steady bodies and the inner-ear balance system, for sitting still and moving with confidence.

  • Both sides: left and right working together and crossing the middle of the body.

  • Body awareness: knowing where your body is without looking, through pushing, jumping and squeezing.

  • Crawl & roll: floor play that revisits the movements babies make: crawling, rolling and rocking.

What's inside

  • 40 activity cards (10 in each colour), 4 to an A4 page

  • Quick-start guide from Polley

  • Optional card backs

  • Printable tuck box to keep them in

  • "Moves we've tried" progress tracker

  • Screen version, one card per page, for phone or tablet

  • Most activities need nothing but a bit of floor space. Some use everyday things like cushions, a scarf or a laundry basket.

Questions from whānau

Frequently asked questions

What ages are the cards for?

Ages 2 to 5. Every card has an easier and a harder version, so younger and older children can both join in.

Do I need equipment?

Mostly no. Some cards use things you'll already have at home, like cushions, a scarf, a soft ball or a laundry basket.

How do I print them?

Print at actual size (100%) on A4 card, 200–250 gsm, and cut along the dashed lines. Each card is 90 × 130 mm. Prefer not to print? Use the screen version on your phone or tablet.

How will I get my cards?

Straight after checkout you'll get an email with your download link. The download is a ZIP file with two PDFs: the print-at-home pack and the screen version.

What if something's wrong with my download?

Email polley@neuromove.co.nz with your order number and we'll resend your link or put it right. Because downloads are delivered instantly, we don't offer change-of-mind refunds, but faulty files are always fixed, replaced or refunded. See our Terms of Sale.

Is this therapy?

No. These are play-based learning activities and they don't diagnose or treat anything. If you have concerns about your child's development, talk to your GP, Plunket or Well Child nurse, or an occupational therapist or physio. Polley also offers 1:1 sessions.

Can my centre or school use them?

This download is for personal and family use. For a centre or classroom licence, email Polley at polley@neuromove.co.nz.
