Raglan FAB 1 - Brain Dev & Crossing The Midline - Community Series

  • Raglan Community House 45 Bow Street Raglan, Waikato Region, 3225 New Zealand (map)

We know that fundamental movement activities help develop the holistic brain. Why is movement and movement progressions crucial for brain development? What happens when stages are missed? What do the issues look like and how do we overcome them!

When we cross our mid-line, we are giving both sides of the brain the opportunity to “talk” to each other. This is crucial in developing a dominant hand and a helping hand, allowing tamariki to complete all major self-care tasks, but when underdeveloped can impact on a child’s reading and writing.
